前ゲームのパーティ
この物語は野球についてです。金曜日に14人と野球ゲームに行きました。とても楽しかったです。今ジョナとテレビでオールスターゲームを見ます。いいね。
On Friday we had a tailgater in the parking lot of Miller Park in Milwaukee. It was Robert’s idea and he brought the Cubs flag. Yuki packed the picnic basket. There were 15 of us, counting the dog.
What is a tailgater? Well, let’s start with the word tailgate, which refers to that short fold down gate on station wagons and pick-up trucks. No tailgates amongst our group’s three mini-vans, but in the old days, you would flip those tailgates down and sit on them in the parking lot, thus a tailgater is a pre-game party. Actually, the whole parking lot was one big happy party long before the game. 写真はここ Smugmug Photos
We had awesome seats and it was a terrific game. Miller Park is a really nice stadium for lots of reasons. That close to Chicago, there were just as many Cubs fans as Brewers. Real friendly crowd watched Cubs 7, Brewers 2.
Tonight I’m watching the All Star Game with Jonah here at my parents’ in Michigan。 He’s cheering for the National League because of Albert and the rest of the Cardinals. But I just love watching a good baseball game.
P.S. My arm still really hurts, but I saw the bone doctor yesterday and it's okay.
I will buy some wrist guards and always wear them whenever I skate.
まだ腕がとても痛いですが、昨日骨の医者に会った、大丈夫と言いました。
手首のガードを買って、ここからスケートしながら、いつも着ますよ。
So sorry to hear about your wrist, Pamela. I suppose we are no longer on for blading in St. Louis?! We could still go over to the park and walk if you'd like...? Maybe wet your appetite for next time? Take your pain meds and listen to the doctor! (believe me, I know how tough it is for nurses to do!) Can't wait to see you all in a few weeks!

Robin, I plan to buy new skates in Tennessee AND get my cast off, so I am not ruling out some mild blading with you in St. Louis in August.
However, Spiky, the truth is that the arm still hurts. They were so gentle with me on the jet-ski, and everyone has been so kind every day, but it is taking a long time to heal. I have to learn that my bones are not flexible... they don't bend, they break. I need to take lessons to learn how to fall. And, of course, wear the protective gear!!!
