Hiking near Pike's Peak. Here are Monica and Jonah at 12,000 feet altitude. Above timberline. Difficult but very fun for all. Tomorrow we leave beautiful Colorado.

It sounds like you all having a very good time! Are you returning to Japan or going to next place in the states?

Nobu-san,
Now we are in Detroit. Martin is working, but later today we 4 will drive to Chicago. We will hook up with friends, see the Cubs and the Reds play at Wrigley Field, then M will go to Indy to work while we 3 hook up with other friends, then take the ferry across Lake Michigan and end up with another family at a beach house. It is fun, but sometimes I hardly know where I am day to day. It takes effort to keep these family and friend relationships that are so important to us.
I wish I didn't have to miss the Skaters BBQ in Tokyo. From Iwa-san's photos, it looked like a real blast!!! Everyone was there.
